He lost the first set and he was on the verge of losing the second set too, but, he lifted the standard of his game and was able to go through Ferrer. The scorecard 6-7 (5-7), 7-6 (8-6), 6-4, 7-6 (7-4) itself tells the story of the match. The match got decided in 4 sets, out of which 3 sets went into the tie breaker. But, Murray kept his nerves in the tie breakers and registered a spot in the semifinals.
After the match, Murray said that the match was an exhausting and energy consuming one. As per Murray, after such kind of matches, a player gets tired mentally. He said that Ferrer is an amazing player and he gave him a great fight. The match was full of tensed moments. In the tie breaker of the second set, Murray was behind Ferrer by 5-2. But, somehow, he managed to win that second set. Again, in the fourth set, the score was 5-5 and the match was evenly poised. Suddenly, it started raining and the authorities had to stop the match. The match started after half an hour. The fourth set also went into the tie breaker.
In the Semifinal match, Murray has to play against Alfred Tsonga. Murray said that after playing such a match, you just want to go to the hotel and have a bit of rest. It is so tiring. Murray said that the British tennis fans are expecting him to win the Wimbledon Championship this year. It is not easy to win a Grand Slam, but, he would give his 100% to win the Wimbledon Championship.
